Van der Valk Hotel Assen is conveniently and centrally located in Drenthe, directly off the A28 motorway. Our spacious car park offers plenty of free parking, allowing you to park close to the hotel.

By car

From Groningen (A28):
Take exit 33 (Assen-West). At the end of the exit, take the third exit at the roundabout. Continue straight ahead at the traffic lights. This will take you directly onto the spacious car park of Van der Valk Hotel Assen.

From Hoogeveen (A28):
Take exit 33 (Assen-West). Turn left at the end of the exit and continue underneath the viaduct. At the next set of traffic lights, move into the left-hand lane. This will take you directly onto the spacious car park of Van der Valk Hotel Assen.

Public transport

The nearest railway station is Assen. From Assen railway station, we recommend taking a taxi. You can contact Taxi Dorenbos on 0592-615000.

Alternatively, you can take bus 14, 20, 84 or 115. These buses stop at the Balkenweg bus stop, approximately a ten-minute walk from the hotel. For the most up-to-date information about bus routes and timetables, please contact our reception.
